MP3 cutter
Add a song or recording and the tool draws its waveform. Drag the handles to the start and end of the part you want or type the times, listen to the selection, and add a fade in at the start and a fade out at the end if you like. The result is an MP3 or WAV, and the whole job runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work as an audio cutter for M4A, WAV and OGG too?
Yes. The tool is an audio cutter for MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC and AAC, and it also cuts the sound from an MP4 video. You always get the clip as MP3 or WAV.
How do I set the start and end precisely?
Drag the handles while you listen to the selection, and for fine tuning type the time with tenths of a second, such as 1:23.5. The waveform shows the quiet parts, where a cut is least noticeable.
Does the MP3 lose quality when cut?
The MP3 is encoded again when cut, and at 192 or 320 kbps the difference cannot be heard. If you want the sound exactly as it was, choose WAV, which is lossless but a larger file.
Can I make a ringtone?
Yes. Cut about 30 seconds, add a fade out at the end and save an MP3, which Android accepts as a ringtone. iPhone ringtones need the M4R format, which this tool does not make.
