Photo to pencil sketch

The tool finds the edges and shadows of a photo and draws them as pencil strokes on white paper. Coloured pencil mode keeps soft colours from the original, and Cartoon simplifies the colours and outlines the shapes. Portraits, animals, and buildings with clear light give the nicest results.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get darker lines?

Raise the line strength. Thickness changes how wide and soft the strokes are.

Does it work with every photo?

It works best with sharp photos where the subject stands out from the background. Dark and blurry photos give a weaker drawing.

Can I print the drawing?

Yes. The drawing has the same resolution as the original, so it suits printing.
