Image upscaler

When you need a bigger image for print, a presentation, or a profile, the tool enlarges it in steps with high quality resampling, then adds sharpening so edges do not look soft. This is not artificial intelligence and cannot add detail the original lacks, but it gives a clean, sharp result.

Frequently asked questions

Can the tool fix a blurry photo?

Partly. Sharpening strengthens existing edges, but it cannot bring back detail that was never captured. For slightly blurry images, also try the Sharpen image tool.

How large can I go?

The result can have up to 24 megapixels and at most 12,000 pixels per side. For a bigger enlargement, start from a smaller image or lower the factor.

Which factor should I use for print?

Plan on 300 pixels per inch. A 1200 pixel image enlarged 2x has 2400 pixels, enough for 8 inches.
